Studio Note #01 - The pause before the frame

I didn’t want to document the framing itself –
not the measuring, the tools, or the final fixings.
Instead, I was drawn to what comes before:
the pause, the decision,
the quiet between the hands and the image.

The frame doesn’t complete the image –
but holds it.
Like a breath.
Like a line that doesn’t speak,
but keeps something in.

The work comes from The City
a series about light, shadow and silence.
This print was framed in black-stained wood,
with a simple, quiet finish.
What matters is not the technique –
but the stillness it holds.

It’s part of a limited edition of 10,
offered only as signed and framed work.
